Why etc.® MD?

After much research, development and extensive testing, we are pleased to announce the release of a new etc.® textile, etc.® MD. MD  is the abbreviation for ‘Multi-directional’ but we could easily have called it ‘Multi- dimensional’ for all the exciting benefits it brings to numerous applications.  Its four-way stretch gives it the flexibility to envelop the foot in comfort when used in all types of footwear, but it’s equally at home against the skin in sports medicine wraps, braces, helmets, backpacks and other sports equipment.

The reason you’ll love etc.® MD

While developing our etc.® MD lining , we were careful to preserve the number one quality of etc.® that matters most to our customers: anti-friction.  Anti-friction means less heat and moisture build up thus creating a healthier, more comfortable environment.   The etc.®  name and distinctive textured pattern are registered trademarks  and will be carried through to the etc.® MD line.  The four way stretch also gives this fabric the added bonus of being easier to work with in production.

It doesn’t get much better

Most important of all, consumers will appreciate the way etc.® MD increases their comfort level and enhances their performance as a result.  it doesn’t get much better than that.

Pam Gelsomini

President and Co-founder, Ortholite, O2 Partners, LLC

“Sheehan Sales has been a valued partner to Ortholite for two decades. Their etc.® fabric provides complementary performance features to our open cell foams by enhancing the breathability, moisture management, and anti-microbial function of our insoles. Combining etc.® with Ortholite foams results in a perfect insole package with maximum levels of performance by creating a cooler, drier and healthier shoe environment.”

Danny Abshire

Co-Founder/Designer, Newton Running Co. & Ultra Marathoner

“As both an ultra-marathoner and a footwear designer, I’m always looking for ways to improve performance. I’ve been using etc.® in running shoes and insoles for a long time for that very reason. Simply stated, etc.® works. I’m confident I can go the distance in comfort without having to worry about heat or moisture build-up and blisters resulting from constant friction over many miles.”

Scott Morrison

Global OPS Footwear, Reebok

“etc.® lining materials have been a consistent feature of numerous Reebok Sport and Fitness products for over 15 years. We have gone from sockliner top coats to full 360 degree lining packages and the results are always the same: No blisters. We have provided footwear for the CrossFit games for the past six years and have had no complaints from athletes or coaches. The product works.”

“The level of support that Mike and Donna Sheehan have provided over the years is unmatched. They care about their customers and go above and beyond to always make sure our needs are met. They are one of our only US-based suppliers and certainly one of our best. They care about their relationships and their products. “

Jennie Hegeman

Product Design Specialist, JenX Equine

“My new XTreme Performance equestrian line provides a comfortable ride and a high level of performance for both horse and rider. My design challenge is always to create equipment that melds two dynamic and opposing biomechanical forces. Because of its lightweight, breathable and anti-friction properties, etc.® technology helps me meet that challenge. As a result, I find myself incorporating etc.® into my designs more and more frequently.”

Mark Longbottom

Sr. Director POPS, Adidas Golf Footwear Development and Product Testing

“adidas golf chooses premium footwear materials and components to provide only the best for our athletes. This is definitely the case with our Tour 360 BOOST golf shoe, the number one selling model in the USA following its launch in 2016.
The etc.® shoe lining fabric in the BOOST provides unrivalled friction control, anti-microbial and moisture wicking properties that allowed the #1 and #2 golfers on the PGA Tour in 2016, Jason Day and Dustin Johnson, to concentrate on what they do best: Winning. Their adidas golf shoes simply became an extension of their bodies, in no small part due to their etc.® technical lining material”
